Welcome to Padma Shedrup Ling

Padma Shedrup Ling, founded by the Venerable Chhoje Rinpoche, is a non-profit organization dedicated to the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism.  These teachings focus on activating wisdom and compassion through the practice of meditation.

Padmasambhava, the great Indian saint who brought Buddhism from India to Tibet in the 8th century, founded the Tibetan form of Buddhism. “Padma Shedrup Ling” translates as “Padmasambhava Study and Meditation Practice Center.”

  • We provide instruction and opportunities for people to practice meditation and study sacred Tibetan Buddhist texts and traditional ceremonies.
  • The center was founded in 1987 by the Venerable Chhoje Rinpoche, the organization’s Spiritual Director and President of the Board of Directors.
  • Padma Shedrup Ling was incorporated as a 501c3 tax -exempt non-profit organization in 1989.
  • All contributions go directly to supporting the spiritual work of the organization. (There are no paid employees or administrators.)
  • The center actively supports the activities and well-being of traditional Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and nunneries in India, Tibet, and Nepal.

Padma Shedrup Ling also supports the performance of traditional prayer ceremonies that maintain the pure tradition of the teachings.
