Padma Shedrup Ling was formed around the activities of The Venerable Chhoje Rinpoche, a recognized Lama and lineage holder of both the Nyingma and Kagyu traditions of Tibetan Buddhism. The main and sole purpose of Padma Shedrup Ling is to provide a means for studying and practicing Tibetan Buddhist dharma, or teachings. The organization is dedicated to providing instruction and opportunities for people to engage in the practice of meditation, and in the study of scriptures and traditional Tibetan Buddhist ceremonies.
We invite you to join us in monthly meditation practices held in the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, and Colorado. The sangha gathers regularly to sit and meditate, to offer prayers for world peace and prosperity, and to listen to recordings of past teachings from the Ven. Chhoje Rinpoche. If you would like information on the location of group meditation practices, please send us an email.
In addition to study and meditation practice, our organization is actively engaged in a variety of charitable activities. In the U.S., these include providing clothing to the homeless, saving lives practice (fish release/liberation), providing spiritual support to individuals dealing with major life changes such as illness or death, and supporting local organizations that provide food to those who need it.
Internationally, we support the activities of Chumur Cultural and Welfare Society, a Buddhist Monastery located in northern India. Most recently, we have been supporting their relief efforts for victims of the devastating flood in Leh, Ladakh.
